چکیده
Abstract Self-interacting dark matter (SIDM) offers the potential to mitigate some of discrepancies between simulated cold (CDM) and observed galactic properties. We introduce a physically motivated SIDM model understand effects self interactions on properties Milky Way dwarf galaxy sized haloes. This consists with nearly degenerate excited state, which allows for both elastic inelastic scattering. In particular, includes significant probability particles up-scatter from ground state state. simulate suite zoom-in Way-sized N-body haloes six models different scattering cross sections study up-scattering in models. find that reaction greatly increases central densities main halo through loss kinetic energy. Self-Interacting Dark Matter
Spergel and Steinhardt have recently proposed the concept of dark matter with strong self-interactions as a means to address numerous discrepancies between observations of dark matter halos on subgalactic scales and the predictions of the standard collisionless dark matter picture. We review the motivations for this scenario and discuss some recent, successful numerical tests. We also discuss t...

There is an asymmetry between the mass of the electric charges, for example proton and electron, can understood by the asymmetrical Planck Distribution Law. This temperature dependent energy distribution is asymmetric around the maximum intensity, where the annihilation of matter and antimatter is a high probability event. The asymmetric sides are creating different frequencies of electromagnet...
متن کاملFormation and Evolution of Self-Interacting Dark Matter Haloes
We have derived the first, fully-cosmological, similarity solutions for cold dark matter (CDM) halo formation in the presence of nongravitational collisionality (i.e. elastic scattering), which provides an analytical theory of the effect of the self-interacting dark matter (SIDM) hypothesis on halo density profiles. Collisions transport heat inward which flattens the central cusp of the CDM den...
متن کاملExploring dark matter with Milky Way substructure.
The unambiguous detection of dark matter annihilation in our Galaxy would unravel one of the most outstanding puzzles in particle physics and cosmology. Recent observations have motivated models in which the annihilation rate is boosted by the Sommerfeld effect, a nonperturbative enhancement arising from a long-range attractive force. We applied the Sommerfeld correction to Via Lactea II, a hig...
متن کاملMirror Matter as Self Interacting Dark Matter
It has been argued that the observed core density profile of galaxies is inconsistent with having a dark matter particle that is collisionless and alternative dark matter candidates which are self interacting may explain observations better. One new class of self interacting dark matter that has been proposed in the context mirror universe models of particle physics is the mirror hydrogen atom ...
